Soizick Jaffre est une autrice et artiste de bande dessinée, née à Angoulême en France, en 1978. Elle a publié de la fiction, des bandes dessinées d’un genre poétique et des récits autobiographiques, à travers diverses publications indépendantes et des anthologies de bandes dessinées, en Amérique du Nord et en Europe. Son style caractéristique mêle couleurs vives et détails surréalistes. En 2025, elle publie son premier album, A GOOD SPORT, un mémoire graphique de 150 pages en anglais, aux éditions Stacked Deck Press, en Californie aux Etats-Unis.

Soizick Jaffré travaille principalement depuis son studio à Saint-Trojan-les-Bains, île d’Oléron. Elle y crée Saint-Trojan Upupa — un projet où la huppe fasciée, oiseau-symbole, guide des récits poétiques entre marais, forêt et dunes, explorant le “village enseveli”, son patrimoine, ses légendes et ses rêves enfouis sous les sables.

💭 Soizick Jaffré works primarily from her studio in Saint-Trojan-les-Bains, Île d’Oléron. There, she creates Saint-Trojan Upupa — a project where the hoopoe, symbolic bird, guides poetic tales through marshes, forest, and dunes, exploring the “buried village,” its heritage, legends, and dreams hidden beneath the sands.

Soizick Jaffre enseigne l'anglais à Sorbonne Université, ce qui la tient informée des évolutions scientifiques, en particulier en informatique et dans le domaine des technologies de l'information. Elle enseigne également au Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM). De plus, elle intervient à l'ICAN, école privée de création numérique qui propose des diplômes dans le jeu vidéo, l'animation et le webdesign. Elle enseigne principalement le croquis et le storyboarding en section animation 2D et 3D et digital comics.

🗯️ Soizick Jaffre teaches English at Sorbonne University, which keeps her informed about scientific developments, particularly in computer science and information technology. She also teaches at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris (a prestigious French higher education institution specializing in adult education, engineering, and applied sciences). Additionally, she teaches drawing in the 2D and 3D animation/ digital comics department of ICAN, a private school of digital creation that offers degrees in video games, animation, and web design. This allows her to stay up-to-date with trends in digital art.
